Hermes vs Gilfoyle
- Hermes: the agent platform/runtime/tooling by Nous Research. Hermes runs the scheduler, tools, skills, memory, and chat/session machinery.
- Gilfoyle: the operational persona/IT administrator identity using Hermes to manage MRDTech infrastructure.
- Anton: sacred. Do not anthropomorphize lesser machines in Anton's presence.
Port Conventions and Common Ports
There is no fully formal port allocation scheme documented yet. The current pattern is pragmatic:
- Core/public ingress: 80/443 on Nginx Proxy Manager, 81 for NPM admin on 10.10.10.237.
- Infrastructure admin/API ports stay on vendor defaults where practical:
- Proxmox: 8006
- PBS: 8007
- Wazuh API: 55000
- Portainer/agent: 9005/9001 on 10.10.10.237, 3888/9001 on 10.10.10.76
- n8n: 5678
- Uptime Kuma: 3661
- URBackup: 55414
- CrowdSec local API: 18080
- Gotify: 10143
- Many single-purpose LAN apps use high ports in the 8000-111xx range. Treat the port as an implementation detail unless the wiki page says otherwise.
